Anita van Gerrevink

The paintings of the Dutch artist Anita van Gerrevink are abstract. In addition to paint she uses different materials such as paper, sand, cane, bark etc. She works intuitive, plays with colour, brings depth to the colour by applying light and dark from which form then arises.

She tells:

“For me painting means cession, reflection, emotion, challenge and eventually always…..connection! It also sets me in motion and a new meeting with myself ensues.

I belief that everything is energy and that what you send out is what you get back. My starting point and inspiration always comes from the question ‘what makes me feel good and what makes me happy’. Movement from inside out; that is how I live, how I work and how I also hope to connect with the observer.”
