You may describe the majority of my paintings as figurative-abstract. Abstract, because that fascinates me most of all. But never you see only paint surfaces, I need configuration as well to show “something”. The closer you look at a subject, for example a flower, the more abstract it gets. I aspire to make small, simple and common things special by way of blowing up them.

Contrasting compositions in dynamic colour-combinations are the result of it, whereas I use gel, sand, textile, tinfoil, structure-paste, tissue-paper, photos and other collage materials, partly covered in the background, partly prominent presented in the foreground.

The nature is my greatest source of inspiration. But also during my journeys and contacts with strange cultures my creativity is getting stimulated. Traditional subjects and symbols from the mythology are breeding-grounds for my inspiration. Sketches and self-made photos are the starting-points to making a painting. Besides I nowadays use digital tools as well to make a design. During the painting process, mostly with acrylic paint, spontaneous brain waves appear always.

Painting is my greatest passion, but also photography, especially macro-photography, fascinates me increasingly. Macro-photos made of tiny subjects, for example drops of water, printed on a big size “dibond” (aluminium), are magnificent eye-catchers.

I exhibited regularly in the Netherlands, Belgium and Portugal and many of my works are to be found  in private collections in Holland, Germany and Portugal.

Janneke Rottier

Janneke Rottier lives and works in Zeeland.
Her paintings feature near empty landscapes, unimportant and uneventful at first glance. Sometimes mysterious, strange and inaccessible.
Janneke gets inspired by space, the broadness, a time of repetition in close connection with the cosmic rhythm of the seasons.
Being in communication and getting familiar with, a cautious approach of the landscape.
Nature in the inevitable process of reconstruction and morphing of shapes.
The empty spaces are pivotal in her thematic use of images.
Janneke uses sand and other materials in combination with oil and acrylic paint to give her work more texture.
The layered areas and the range of coloring in the patterns acquire individual values and thereby show their mortal, tangible nature.
Images that merely remain on the linen as traces of a memory of reality.
Light, air and space evoking a fascination, leading to compositions showing a silent inexpressibility and melancholy.
It seems like time has been stopped, a frozen moment in a mysterious, unknown journey.

International Visual Artist Marty Poorter:

My visual work is my way of speaking. My way of being in the world. My source is desire. Longing for gestures never made before. I work from a non- thoughtful flow of lines and gestures. A game where I surrender to a kind of inner music.

All images are notes of the same music which cannot exist without each other. I am the outsider. The observer  who intuitively registers the things that hit me emotionally. As an artist I try to get a grip on that reality.

The beauty of nature and especially the relationship between humans and animals are to me an endless source of inspiration.

Regular exhibitions at home and abroad. Recent exhibitions include New York, Stockholm, Museum Joure, Natuurmuseum Fryslân and Gallery Hoogenbosch Gorredijk. A permanent exhibition of my own collection in Studio and Gallery Huize Hynsteblom, The Netherlands.

My name is Eric Swart and I am considered an artist for what I do.
I digitalize façades of many buildings around the world.
In a way, I try to immortalize one of the greatest art kinds that our
world has ever known.

Almost all of the forms of art are made in a small, subtitle way, for
people to show it in and around their living environments.
Even though there are many beautiful photographs of these buildings, I
really wanted to capture every line, every detail, even some not seen
by the human eye, in one picture of the buildings.

Since 1992 I?ve committed myself to this new, unknown art form.
In the year 1992 I started making scaled digital collection of old façades.
Even now, in the modern computer age, people are still surprised to
see these detailed façades.
It?s great to see the reaction of people to my works of art.

This kind of collection is largely unknown in Europe or the rest of the world.
The collection consist of famous Dutch and international buildings.
These digital drawings have been made by transferring each line, from
the original drawing, which are acquired by official authority?s and
photographic material, into the computer.
It takes approximately three to six month to complete one façade.
It is possible that some façades have been changed in some form,
during the past centurys.

Wim van Oss

Wim van Oss was born in the Dutch town Kerkdriel on the Meuse River.

At an early age he already felt attracted to an artistic career. Wim,  being the youngest in a family of five children, quickly developed  artistic talents. When he was 12 years old, the art teacher at his  school in Den Bosch (the Netherlands) discovered that Wim had an above  average artistic talent. From then on, he took private lessons.

Later on, Wim went to the Famous Artists School in Westport USA for 4 years, where he took lessons from Norman Rockwell, Ben Stahl, Austin Briggs, Robert Fawcett, Albert Dorne, Stevan Dohanos, Al Parker,  George Giusti and Jon Whitcomb. Not only did Wim learn techniques and skills, but he also gained much  experience there, especially in model drawing. Wim graduated from this  school, which contributed to the wide variety in style, forms and  techniques that he shows in his works and teaches in courses and master classes.

His talent certainly did not remain unnoticed. As we take an in-depth  look at the history of the Van Oss family, it is evident that he  descends from a great painter’s family. They were the founders of a  group of artists called The Hague School, which included big names  such as Schelfhout, Koekkoek and Breitner.

Meanwhile Wim’s works can be found in Germany, Austria, Italy, Turkey  and Los Angeles, USA. It’s an impressive list which continues to grow. The works of Wim van  Oss are part of important corporate and private collections. Wim has  adopted his own unique style, which gives him a platform for  developing and exploring substyles. His works leave the spectator  enough room for personal interpretation, although it is clear that Wim  wants his figures to convey emotions such as curiosity, envy and  resignation. Characteristic of the works of Wim Oss is that they seem  to ‘breathe’. Spectators get the feeling that they can walk through  the painting, led by an invisible story line from the artist. A story  in which the artist consciously leaves room for personal  interpretation by the spectator’s imagination.

However, the energy of Wim van Oss is distinctly present in his works.  His progressive work and unique style attracts strong, international  interest, as the prices and development of his paintings show.

This is what expressionism as a modern art form means to Wim: ‘I want  to express the inner self, that which is experienced in the mind. By  breaking away from nature in art, expressionism is often very  difficult to understand. Within this art form I try to convey the  essence of things and my vision as an artist expressively and with  great feeling, neglecting objective forms’

Rienk is a Dutch artist who lives in the north of The Netherlands. He has been drawing ever since he could hold a pencil. Shapes and colours are the basics for the final painting. During the creation of the artwork, Rienk is looking for tension in the colours to make the painting more attractive. The audience can look at the painting in different ways to see and feel the conflicts on canvas.

The shapes, which are mostly abstract, add a dynamic twist to his artworks what invite us to have a closer look at the details so the artwork can be better understood.
The surreal aspect of his artworks and his influences create a lot of space for everybody’s own interpretation.

Riny Adams

The paintings of Riny Adams(1954) are the result of everything that she experiences around her. She never focuses on one thing in particular but lets the painting grow. Initially she mainly painted things and people around her but recently she is more engaged with color, line and matter. You could call her work lyrical – abstract. Riny often visits natural habitats, in every season. This is especially noticeable in the organic forms and structures, such as a tree stumps, the stakes in Domburg beach or the structure of a limestone wall. Her use of color is mainly a reflection of her feelings. The things you see when you are in a natural habitat by yourself can give you a very special feeling. It’s like you are the only one who sees all these forms and colors. She incorporates this feeling in her artworks. Graffiti like those found in nature, in trees and marl in the city or on walls, doors and trains, are recurring elements in her work. In December 2009 Riny participated in the Biennale of Florence. She is part of the DFBA (Dutch Florence Biennale Artists) Group that was formed afterwards.

Jos Janssen

Jos Janssen has learnt photographing by self-education before he
specialised himself further on the photograph academy in Amsterdam. He
works on free-lance basis and his work is seen regular in several
galleries in the Netherlands. The pictures are frequently landscapes
such as he interpret them. He is a dreamer who gladly fantasia-full
creates pictures. By placing people in landscapes, he shows his
feelings experienced during its stay . By applying the newest digital
techniques you will imediately see the work of Jos.
As professional photographer he organisdz regularly workshops and
courses, both for cultural centres, schools, associations, companies
and individuals!
