Liesbeth Limburg

Even though I started my real painting no earlier than 2008, I have enjoyed two artistic trainings since the 70s: etching and ceramics. I painted various ceramic works and the transition to flat surfaces was more and more natural. Although the designs are different, my ‘signature’ is identifiable. A number of my paintings have to do with the shocking reality in the world, as it is brought to us by the media.         I transform the volatility of for instance a newspaper photograph into a painting. These paintings are covered by the title It’s a Wild World. Landscapes form my other source of inspiration.
