Photos of my thoughts
Louis Bertholet (1950) is a self-taught artist who has exhibited his “lightpaintings” in the Netherlands and abroad. In 1985 he received a Gold Award for photographic art from the Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum.
Bertholet describes his photographic art as follows:
“I creatively manipulate colour, light, and images through a range of techniques, a process that stimulates diverse interpretations and sensations on the part of the viewer. Concepts like cosmos, principles of existence and life and death are often the key to my inspiration and the starting point of my work. I add and I subtract. What remains is my picture, what remains is my expression, what remains is my story: the story of Louis Bertholet. In short, photos of my thoughts.
